Somewhere new for the Out & Abouters this week - we're off to A The Airts which is a wonderful Community Arts and Crafts Centre in the royal burgh of Sanquhar. The cafe (on the ground floor) serves a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, paninis, salads, baked potatoes and light bites as well as homemade soup and daily specials. Wonderful day for a lovely autumn colours trip for the Out & Abouters. They were off to Clyde Muirshield Park and Castle Semple Visitor Centre followed by lunch at the lovely Loch House in Lochwinnoch and then a wee mystery tour to see the countryside. And it didn't rain! The Carrick Out & Abouters went off to Dumfries House yesterday and had an even better day with the weather. This is a message for users of the Barr-Girvan service. We're really sorry, but due to a mechanical problem, the normal bus won't be running today. We've put on a replacement bus for today, but unfortunately, because the problem only happened this morning just before a run, we had to use the other bus which is Girvan based and it's not wheelchair accessible. The drivers will assist anyone who needs help to board. We're hoping to have the normal bus back in action by Friday but if it's not, we will definitely have a wheelchair accessible bus in place for you. ... See MoreSee Less

In the last six months SACT has carried 7,448 passengers and travelled over 40,000 miles

NCCBC (Maybole) vehicles have carried over 1100 passengers and travelled around 6,200 miles

Barr - Girvan service: July – September 2018 figures are up 54% on the same period last year
