Friday the 13th struck the Out and About Club Autumn Colour’s excursion to Glen Trool and Bruces Stone with a deluge of rain and low cloud. However, we are glad to report that this did not dampen spirits and the somewhat restricted views were still enjoyed.
Collected from their homes our guests were ably transported by our driver of the day, Linda. Stops at The Glentrool Visitor Centre and lunch at House O Hill restaurant broke up the trip.
From Ayr, down through Girvan , Barrhill to Bargrennan and Glentrool, returning via the hill road to Straiton and beyond, deepest South Ayrshire was truly explored in search of the colour’s of autumn.
